MEA Benefits is now SDPEBA!

SDPEBA stands for the San Diego Public Employee Benefit Association and is a partnership between the MEA, AFSCME 127 (127), City of San Diego Retired Employees’ Association (REA), the Retired Fire and Police Association (RFPA), and the San Diego Police Officers Association (SDPOA).   The goal of SDPEBA is to reduce costs, improve benefits, enhance support and stabilize premiums.  This is evident in the great new AFLAC benefits being offered this year which are better benefits and better pricing

The SDPEBA team is the same great team that has administered MEA’s Benefits for the past 20 years, and this change will help to add more staff to provide the best in class service and support.

We encourage you to subscribe to our eNewsletter to receive updates about benefits and what is new at SDPBEA.  If you subscribe between now and June 30th you will be entered into our drawing for cash prizes.  We are giving away over $1,000 dollars in gift cards between 5/27/19 and 6/30/19.

For FY20 Open Enrollment SDMEA members may select Sharp Health Plan through the City’s flex benefits online enrollment system.
