SDPEBA will be offering the following benefits to retirees: Hyatt Legal, Liberty Mutual (auto/home/renters), LifeLock, MetLife Dental HMO & PPO, Nationwide Pet Insurance, Purchasing Power,  Sharp Health Plan’s Non-Medicare and Direct Advantage Medicare, UNUM Long Term Care and VSP Vision.

If you are currently enrolled in an SDPEBA sponsored health, dental, vision, or legal plan, you DO NOT need to complete an enrollment form. Your benefits will automatically renew. Only those retirees who are adding, changing or terminating benefits must complete an enrollment form. For dental/vision/legal use the SDPEBA Enrollment Form. For Sharp non-Medicare use the Sharp Non Medicare App. For Sharp Medicare Advantage use the Sharp Medicare App.

Unfortunately, we cannot assist with questions or problems with non-SDPEBA plans including Kaiser, CIGNA, SCAN, or United Concordia. If you have questions about retiree health, please contact the City’s Retirement Office at (800) 774-4977.

SDPEBA is working to offer new methods of support, and this year we are officially rolling out our 24/7 Self Support site at https://support.sdpeba.org.   This site is built to allow retirees to access information through an automated system outside of our normal office hours of Monday through Friday – 9AM to 5PM.  The site will be updated regularly with answers to many of the questions asked by retirees.  If the answer isn’t there, the site will allow you to submit a question and our team will respond the next business day.
